Links to the past 9 years of upgrades for the 10/22
You might think that there is nothing that can be improved on the 10/22 at this point......and you would be wrong. Believe it or not, we found more good stuff....
While at the SHOT show I spoke to the folks at Tandemkross and they showed me their latest products for the 10/22.
Let's start with their Manticore X lower/trigger assembly. Normally a 10/22 has just the trigger group hanging on the bottom of the receiver, but Tandemkross built an assembly that includes mounts for an AR-15 grip and picatinny for a folding stock.
The trigger is fully adjustable and comes with black or red anodized levers.
This year they introduced a new lightweight barrel; The Spitfire barrel is made from stainless steel and is tension mounted in an aluminum M-Lock handguard/shroud. The 16"-barrel weighs is just 11.5 ounces (compared to 29 ounces for the factory 18.5" barrel) and comes in bare stainless, gold or black, while the M-Lok handguard comes in red or black.but wait, there's more, they also developed a new receiver. This receiver features a left-hand bolt with a notch for holding the chamber open, which competition shooters will love.
The cast in picatinny rail makes mounting optics a breeze
The receiver also disassembles with a removeable rear plate. The plate is made from strong delrin plastic
Powder River Precision has new receivers as well one normal and one designed for the take-down model. They call it them the "Rubicon" & "Adventure".
