Ruger 10/22 Upgrades for 2022

We'll start with some items found at the SHOT show

In the new products area was this display from Deserttech, it is for their new TREK-22 bull pup stock.

The stock is compatible with all Ruger 10/22s and most 10/22 clones/copies.

They designed it to be California compliant, something I loath.....in my opinion, this is tantamount to giving up

Powder River Precision was on hand with their new 10/22 receiver. I know what you are thinking, but they actually made some improvements.

For starters the picatinny rail is integral and I will explain why, they used that space, inside the rail, to mount the recoil spring. Instead of riding on the side of the bolt, it is centered above the bolt.

They also redesigned the firing pin, it is round.

Here is the cut-away sample, showing the location of the recoil spring.

If you have been following the Remington saga, then you know that H&R was sold to Palmetto State Armory. Along with H&R went the NODAK Spud line of products including the 10/22 receivers and parts. Anyway, at the PSA booth they were displaying a 10/22 pistol that they may be producing in the near future.

Ruger was not in attendance, but their partner in the A-TM stock was, Samson Manufacturing. They now have the B-TM 10/22 stock (as well as the Mini-14/30 A-TM stock) available in black

Behold the ORYX Precision Rifle Chassis system for the Ruger 10/22. It's one piece of aircraft aluminum and free floats the barrel. It is also made in the USA! See more here

JKL Precision is selling these chamber safety flags, the orange plastic piece fits in the mag well, while the red flag lets everyone know they gun is safe.

Samson Manufacturing is now offering these new aluminum barrel bands with integral QD sling swivel mount. They are made from 6061 aluminum and come in black or natural gray. See them here

Rival Arms is now producing an aluminum chassis for the 10/22, they weigh in at 16 oz and use M-Lok components on the forend. It accepts AR grips and stock assemblies. Color choices in include black anodized (shown) FDE and Satin Gray. See more here

Dlask Arms has solved the problem of the extended mag release making access to the bolt hold open mechanism. The mag lever has a spring loaded trigger that pushes on the bolt hold open lever. See more here.

I found these next few items on ebay....this first one is a stainless steel replacement trigger rebound spring and plunger, you can find them here

The same seller was also offering these replacement takedown screws. They are a thumbscrew design and have a slot large enough for a quarter or key. They come in stainless and blued. I bought some of these myself and can attest to their fine quality

This next one is a complete stock system, made on a plastic 3D printer to make your 10/22 look like a Kalashnikov rifle, see it here

This is another 3D printed item, barrel bands in a wide variety of colors, see the ebay ad here

Sb Tactical is now offering a chassis kit for the 10/22 and Charger. Called the SB22, the unit was designed in partnership with the folks from Unity Tactical. The unit features a picatinney mount for the stock or arm brace and accepts standard AR-15 grips (including beavertail style). The polymer unit is made in the USA and comes with both a picatinney hand guard cover and a flat cover along with a Reptilla CQG grip. It comes in any color you like, as long as that color is black. They make them for standard & take down models and the best part is the price, just $124

Another barrel band option is a steel replacement one shown in the picture below. They come in matte or polished blued finish. You can order them from Ruger Cylinders dot com

More 3-D printed items, this ebay seller made these BX1 magazine storage boxes on his 3D printer and included sliding lids
