Best of Theme Guns: Banana Clips Magazines

 

I tried looking for who first used the term "Banana Clip" to refer to a standard capacity magazine which has a banana like curve to it. Many people think it was WWII soldiers referring to their 30 round M-1 Carbine magazine.


At some point some people got the idea of painting their magazines yellow and putting a sticker from a Chiquita, Dole or Del Monte banana on it.








Then Magpul entered the fray



Soon everyone was making Banana Clip stickers

They come in three sizes, the small ones mimic the size of a real banana sticker. The small ones can be bought individually or on a sticker sheet of 9.
