The parts came out OK, I wish I would have gone through the extra trouble of polishing the receiver, some of the rough parts show up, oh well I can always reblue it another time
Time to reassemble the gun and get some pictures
I gave the hammer face and sear engagement surface a good polishing before reassembly
Finished! We installed a new set of 50th Anniversary grips and new grip screws
Before and after photos, it may be hard to tell if anything changed, the gun was in pretty good shape when we started
The plum color is gone, that is not to say that the bolt will not turn plum with age, but for now it is deep black
On to the next project!
